Welcome to Pearson Construction – Founded 1927

Over 90 years of meeting our clients’ needs by constructing architecturally excellent, technically sound and economically appropriate facilities.

About Us

Performance
Pearson was established in Bellingham in 1927 and has become one of the most respected General Contractor and Construction Management firms in the Northwest. Pearson places a strong emphasis on teamwork and effective communication. Our prime objective is to deliver a quality product on time and within budget. This commitment is our greatest competitive advantage and shapes our attitude about each project. It is the basis for our success…and yours.

Experience
Pearson has a select team of experienced craftsmen, project managers, and field superintendents. Our project managers lead the team and oversee each project from the initial client meeting to successful completion. We understand the special staging, crew assignments and construction techniques required, as well as the sophisticated scheduling necessary to ensure that activities coincide appropriately with flow of materials, fixtures and equipment. Our expertise includes the joining of existing and new construction, the matching of unique materials and finishes, as well as effective noise and dust controls. Over the years Pearson has developed a strong working relationship with local building officials, allowing us to overcome many hurdles that may arise during a project. Our close working relationship with many architectural firms give us a unique understanding of the importance of properly executing design intent. We pay close attention to the details of fit and finish that complete an excellent design.

Attention to Quality
Quality workmanship is a direct reflection of Pearson Construction’s field crew, most of whom have been with us for more than 10 years. Extensive training though a rigorous apprenticeship program, keeps our crew updated with the latest developments in construction techniques. Our field crew consists of skilled craftsmen. Their duties include site layout, demolition, concrete work, rough carpentry, finish carpentry, metal framing and supervision. Combining experienced labor with appropriate products and superior subcontractors develops a team dedicated to quality.

Reputation
Pearson has specialized in the construction of commercial, financial, religious and retail facilities, along with high end custom homes. We have had the pleasure of working with the region’s leading architects and clients and invite you to talk in depth to them. In addition to those, talk to the banking and surety institution’s whose backing we have earned through consistent financial performance. We have a proven record of fair treatment and prompt payment to subcontractors, and as a result we avoid delays and excessive costs.

Schedule Control
Pearson Construction will get you open on time. We understand the scheduling and financial considerations involved. Working together, our seasoned management, field and support personnel, we have developed streamlined systems for managing construction. Systems that help keep your management team up to date on project details, schedules, and supporting documentations. Systems that minimize the quantity of paperwork while maximizing its quality. Systems that maximize the value of your future business dollars because they help ensure that you can begin serving your market and generating revenues at the earliest possible date. Major elements of this system are: Critical scheduling, permits, progress reports, material submittals, shop drawings, purchase orders, and subcontract supplied material tracking.

Optimum Budget Control
We have learned how to develop realistic budget estimates based on cost records from a broad range of projects and cross-checks with material suppliers. By becoming involved in the early stages of a project Pearson help optimize construction budgets through value engineering, site evaluations, and analysis of alternative methods, materials, and finishes. These and other pre-construction services can help you receive the greatest value for your construction dollar.

Next Project: PEARSON
Check our track record and talk at length with our many satisfied clients. Visit any of our current or past projects. Examine them in detail, because the closer you look, the better we look. Then give us a call because we want to be on your team to build your next project.
